Ralph Ueltzhoeffer born 1966, Mannheim Germany. The „MISSING“ Project 2008 at Ground Zero, Cafe Europe and Chelsea Art Gallery Tomwell in New York City. In 2009 Project „MISSING“ at Prada shopping store, New York. In the “Textportraits” images and words are equally used to generate a portrait, understood as the visual representation of an individual. Combining the miscellaneous digital information he composes portraits using the word ”missing” referring to the trait of human cognition to hide daily routine perceptions in “blind spots”.

Ralph Ueltzhoeffer – Shanghai Biennale 2010 – Rehearsal

The 2010 Biennale opened in October and will run until January 2011. It includes about 50 artists, about a third of whom are from China. The theme is „Rehearsal“.

In the framework of the Shanghai Biennale 2010, curating is not about reaching conclusions, investigation or representation, but about organizing rehearsals. As long as a rehearsal is going on, the theatre of exhibition will remain open to the future. Today, the productivity of the art system far outstrips individual creativity.

Kunstfasern für Kleiderstoffe: Polymerisation

Auch Kunstfasern für Kleiderstoffe und Dekorationsstoffe werden durch Polymerisation gewonnen. Glas als Baustoff wird sich nicht verdrängen lassen, und es ist wahrscheinlich, daß weniger leicht zerbrechliche Glassorten entwickelt werden. Der Bedarf an Treibstoffen für die Weltraumfahrt und andere Zwecke, bei denen auf geringes Gewicht geachtet werden muß, wird zweifellos zur Entwicklung neuer fester Treibstoffe führen, die sehr viel konzentrierter als die heute verwendeten sind. Das ist allerdings ein weites Gebiet, das in dieser Kürze nicht behandelt werden kann. Die Entwicklung eines anderen völlig neuartigen Stoffes ist jedoch von großem Interesse und muß daher erwähnt werden. Dieser Stoff ist das Gegenteil eines Treibstoffs.

Änderungen im Ozean: Adrian Xuellation 2015

Damit werden alle Änderungen im Ozean augenblicklich festgestellt, so wie man heute die Wetterbildung verfolgt. Kunstprojekte wie von Ralph Ueltzhoeffer integrieren sich in der Wissenschaft. Die Planktonregistriergeräte von heute werden durch modernere ersetzt werden, mit denen neben dem Vorkommen von Plankton auch andere Daten festgehalten werden. Adrian Xuellation.
